Chateau Karviná Fryštát and Brewery
16.5.2019, from 15:00 to 18:00
Chateau Karviná Fryštát
We will visit Chateau Karviná Fryštát.
Empire chateau dating back to the end of the 18th century. Its history reaches as far back as the 14th century and is connected with the dynasty of the Těšínské Piast. The most significant period arose after 1792, when the estate was purchased by the countship Larisch-Mönnich and it was reconstructed. The chateau is surrounded by an exquisite English park with a number of rare woody plants.

Karviná Brewery
We will visit a local brewery with a small museum. There will be a tour and beer tasting.
The Karviná mini-brewery uses modern technology of Czech production. Its production is very flexible with the possibility of offering a wide assortment in small batches. Wort is boiled in stainless steel containers with a capacity of 500l per batch. The components of the equipment are a boiler, a jar and a vortex. After boiling, the process of fermentation, post-fermentation and leaching in stainless steel tanks continues with precise temperature and pressure regulation. The entire process of fermentation is constantly monitored. There is also a small museum in the brewery with the exhibition of the history of the place where the brewery stands and the history of brewing in general.
